⛰️ Hill station 🏘️ Town 🗼 Landmark ⛰️ Hill ️🏜️ BadlandsThe thousand-year-old city of Ronda has all the characteristics of one of the most interesting cities in all of Andalusia. The landscape, the urban planning, the history, the romantic legend of the famous bandits, the cradle of matadors and artists... make Ronda a unique city. The chronicles of men of letters who felt captivated by this city follow one another from the most ancient texts to our days; Pliny, the poet king of Seville al-Motámid, Vicente Espinel, Rilke and Juan Goytisolo are just some of the names on the long list of authors who have written eloquent pages about Ronda, where, according to its natives, the rain rises and the birds fly at the feet of those who stoop over the Breach. The city invites you to walk through it without haste, so as to appreciate in detail the footprints of the old Arab medina on the banks of the Guadalevin River, which still preserves part of its walls, to cross the Puente Nuevo and to walk along the Alameda del Tajo, stopping at every corner and in front of every monumental work that opens its doors to the visitor; without forgetting to regain your strength in one of the restaurants that offer a good selection of the typical dishes of the Serranía (Ronda mountains). The urban area is divided into three perfectly differentiated zones: the City or old Arab Medina -the most important from a historical point of view-, the San Francisco neighborhood, separated by the Walls, and the El Mercadillo neighborhood, on the opposite side of the Guadalevin River. A city full of charm, just waiting for you!
