Its nightlife attracts numerous South African and foreign tourists. Camps Bay is one of the most exclusive areas on the outskirts of Cape Town. In the heart of Camps Bay lies Camps Bay Beach, a magical stretch of pure white sand, surrounded by the ocean on one side and the Twelves Apostles Mountains on the other. Come for a picnic or a swim, or stroll along the palm-filled boulevard with its trendy cafés, restaurants and stores. If you decide to swim, respect the areas designated by the lifeguards, and be careful because the water is known to be very cold, you have been warned! In the summer, Camps Bay Beach can be crowded.
