Italy has a delicious gastronomy, as we all know! The traditional Pugliese cuisine, often called "casareccia", offers dishes of the house and the country. It has to be said that this large region in southern Italy has enormous agricultural assets. Puglia is a very large producer of vegetables and cereals, but also the largest producer of olive oil in Italy. You can see olive trees as far as the eye can see in the region's countryside. The sea offers fish and seafood in abundance.

Spring and autumn are the best times to be outdoors: the former because of the abundance of wild flowers; the latter because it is the season of the grape harvest and olive picking, but also because the summer heat lasts until mid-October, guaranteeing many hours of sunshine as well as the opportunity to go to the beach. Like anywhere else where the sea is present, September is perhaps the best month: the colours are brighter, the temperatures are high but do not reach the unbearable peaks of summer, traffic is no longer a problem and the beaches are not crowded.
