Located on the central Iranian plateau, between the Dasht-e Kavir desert in the north and the Dasht-e Lut desert in the south, the city is surrounded by salt lakes and dominated by the Shir Kuh in the southwest, 13303 feet (4055 m).
Yazd is considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world. It has as many cultural and natural assets. Many cultural visits are also possible, like the Jameh mosque, which reflects the Islamic-Iranian architecture. Its colors, mosaics, and ornaments dress it in a splendid blue.
