Travel Tips for visiting Uluwatu

Uluwatu is an ideal place to visit in one or more days, located in the southernmost part of Bali and far from the most populated centres of the island such as Denpasar or Kuta, it is ideal for relaxing, enjoying the beaches, surfing, temples and food. The roads to reach this area are in excellent condition and the good thing is that you can get here without the detours and small roads that sometimes abound in Bali. 1. Pura Luhur Uluwatu - Uluwatu Temple This is perhaps the main attraction and one of the most important things to do in Uluwatu. Its temple on the edge of a 70-metre cliff dropping directly into the sea, the monkeys and all the culture it exudes, make this temple a must-see on your tour of Uluwatu. We recommend visiting early in the morning although the best time to go is in the afternoon, ideally before sunset. In addition, during the summer evenings Kecak is performed, a typical Balinese dance not to be missed! → Price: the entrance fee to the Uluwau temple is IDR 50,000 per person. → Opening hours: from 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM. 2. Nyang Nyang Beach This is perhaps one of the most incredible beaches in Bali, it has a length of more than one kilometre, clear waters and white sand. It is also usually quite empty as getting there is not always that easy. If you go on your own by motorbike you should be careful as the road can be a bit tricky. 3. Balangan Beach This is a very common beach for surfers, it has some restaurants, surf schools and places where you can stay, eat and sit down for a drink and a rest. On the north side of the beach there is a lookout point that allows you to see the wide beach from above. It is common to see many newlywed couples posing in their wedding attire and dresses in the middle of a photo shoot, making it a fun place to visit with spectacular views.
