Travel Tips for visiting Taj Mahal

Located in Agra, the Taj Mahal, which means "Palace of the Crown" in French

Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, it is one of the 7 wonders of the world.

The beauty of this white marble building exists far beyond its appearance. Its construction was born out of the undying love that Emperor Shah Jahan of Mughal had for his sweetheart Mumtaz Mahal. Majestic, the Taj Mahal is synonymous with love and romance.
The purity of the white marble and the exquisite ornamentation of the precious stones make it one of the most popular places in India
The construction of this magnificent mausoleum began in 1631 when the emperor's wife died. The Taj Mahal is a beautiful example of Mughal architecture and also blends Ottoman, Indian, Islamic, and Iranian architecture. The Taj Mahal has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1983 and is also one of the seven wonders of the world. White marble, Lapis Lazuli, coral, jasper, agates? so many precious stones adorn the building. A real life-size jewel.

The Taj Mahal is just three hour drive from New Delhi, the capital of India.

It is one of the most attractive tourist sites for years for tourists who come to visit the Taj Mahal in the first place. The Taj Mahal, the best symbol of eternal love, stands on the bank of the Jamuna River in Agra, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, 200 km from Delhi. It is part of the famous tourist circuit of the Golden Triangle of India.

The magnificent Taj Mahal Palace, one of India's most beautiful architectural wonders was built by the fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1631 in memory of his second wife, Arjumand Banu who was later known as Mumtaz Mahal, (Mumtaz Mahal meaning the "distinguished one of the Palace"). The Taj Mahal stands like a fairy tale on the banks of the Yamuna River.
The Taj, the famous dome, resting on a huge white marble terrace on a red sandstone base (57×57 meters) is flanked by four tapered minarets. Shah Jahan consulted experts from the Middle East and Europe, planned his legacy, and twenty thousand people took over twenty-two years to build it.
