Nestled in the south-eastern part of Germany, in the region of Bavaria, discover the small town of Tegernsee. 
About 53km from the city of Munich, Tegernsee is located on the shore of Lake Tegern.

Here you can take very relaxing walks and above all admire the calm and beautiful green landscape of the lake and the surroundings of Tegernsee. After a tour of the lake, you can go to BadWiessee, a community not far from Tegernsee. Situated at 750m above sea level, the small town offers a panoramic view of the landscape. 

If you are visiting Tegernsee during the winter, you can take the opportunity to visit the Wallberg slope, where you can enjoy a very entertaining activity: sledging. It is one of the longest natural toboggan runs in Germany. Apart from the fun days you can spend there, in Wallberg you can also use the cable cars and have a panoramic view of the area.

After taking a deep breath of fresh air and nature, continue your stay and visit the majestic Tegernsee Abbey. Built in the 8th century, it is a former Benedictine abbey with baroque architecture and is said to have been home to the largest Benedictine community until the 19th century. 
Surprisingly, in the right wing of the abbey there is a brewery, the Herzoglich Bayerisches Brauhaus Tegernsee, which gave its name to the famous Tegernsee Helles beer.
