After taking a deep breath of fresh air and nature, continue your stay and visit the majestic Tegernsee Abbey. Built in the 8th century, it is a former Benedictine abbey with baroque architecture and is said to have been home to the largest Benedictine community until the 19th century.
Surprisingly, in the right wing of the abbey there is a brewery, the Herzoglich Bayerisches Brauhaus Tegernsee, which gave its name to the famous Tegernsee Helles beer.
