The Zugspitze, in Bavaria, is part of the Alpine mountain range that stretches along the Austrian border. Its 9717 feet (2,962 meter) peak can be reached by cable car or cogwheel train, and you can enjoy the spectacular view. This mountain, the highest in Germany, is extremely popular with hikers with many trails for all levels. Schneefernerhaus is a popular destination for skiers in winter, the ski area comes alive when winter sports enthusiasts from all over Europe come to enjoy the beautiful snow and ski activities.
