Much of the economy of this commune comes from winter tourism, i.e. skiing.
If you like mountains, sun and winter sports, you've come to the right place, as this is a small rural commune that is very popular for its ski resort.
Situated at an altitude of around 2720m, there are many activities to enjoy in winter, starting with skiing. With 35 ski runs, the ski area of Les Orres has a vertical drop of around 1170m, ideal for both amateur and professional skiers!
A snow park, a toboggan run and an ice rink are also available. Enough to have fun!
For nature and animal lovers, there is also the possibility of taking a dog sled ride, which allows you to admire the views of the magnificent larch forests.
However, the commune of Les Orres also offers many activities during the summer. Indeed, as the commune is located in a mountainous area, it is possible to go on hiking trails or to go paragliding.
