Learn More about Grenoble

Surrounded by mountains, Grenoble has a lot to offer. Good restaurants literally on every corner, the constant presence of nature all around the city, a lot of museums for the most part free, street art everywhere to animate the walls,... It seems that many French people have preconceived ideas about Grenoble: as far as we are concerned, we didn't have any and were pleasantly surprised! In this article, I propose you a small overview of all the things to see and do for a long weekend (or more) in Grenoble. You never have to go far to find an interesting museum, and it's free! Indeed, all the departmental museums of Isère are free, and there are quite a few in Grenoble and its surroundings. Beside the museums I'm talking about below, we can also note the Musée de la résistance et de la déportation de l'Isère (a museum dedicated to the second world war, apparently very well done) and the Musée de Grenoble (the museum of fine arts of the city, which has to be paid for) that we would have visited with a little more time. In short, Grenoble is a city that is easy to discover whatever the season! And when the weather is good, the city is literally surrounded by mountains so there are plenty of walks to do from the city
