Learn More about La Habana

La Habana, the capital of Cuba, is located on the north coast, in the western half of the island. It faces the Florida Strait, in the Caribbean Sea. It is an important cultural, economic and historical center.

The picturesque streets and the welcome of the inhabitants will make your trip to La Habana an unforgettable moment! The old city is classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO. You will see plenty of baroque and neoclassical monuments, with beautiful houses with balconies and wrought iron railings, with arcades and charming inner courtyards. There is the 18th-century cathedral, the pleasant Plaza de Armas, with its Palace of the Captains General, and a great choice of cultural visits. It is impossible not to be seduced by this atmosphere from another age.

The Statue of Christ is very similar to the one of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. From this point of view, you have the opportunity to discover a panorama of the whole city of Havana. Other cultural visits are available to you, such as the Cemetery of Christopher Columbus, the Castle Del Morro, a magnificent castle from the 17th century, El Templete, this historical monument is located in the Plaza de Armas. It is a neoclassical building that looks like a miniature Greek temple. And many other monuments worth seeing await you during your stay.

A walk on Malecon beach is always a good idea... For more entertainment, the Tropicana cabaret, the Habana café or the Jazz café awaits you. Bowling or billiards are also possible. At 9 pm, be at the Morro-cabana for the usual cannon shot. To dance, the Rio club is the guaranteed atmosphere, the Palacio de la Salsa is also famous. The largest Caribbean city can be visited at the same pace at which we live here: quietly. In the evening, it gets a little more lively, with the sound of salsa and the intense nightlife.
