🐾 Wildlife spots 🌴 Jungle spots 🏰 Temple spots 🌲 Nature reserve spots 🌆 Skyline spots 🤿 Underwater spotsFor the record, this zoo was opened in 1916 on an island near Sydney, Taronga Island. It has 2,600 animals spread over 21 hectares. Apparently Taronga is an aboriginal word which means Pretty View. Being an island, you have to go by boat. Captain Cook offers a return boat trip, plus entry to the zoo for $50.50, which apparently is the best deal. It's true that it's a small budget, but it's for the preservation of the animals! By the way, the boat transport works on a hop on, hop off system, meaning that the ticket is valid for the day, there are several stops so you can get on/off at different stops.
