Maroubra Beach is a very nice beach, much less touristic than the other beaches, very natural and ideal for surfers, and considred the most beautiful beach of Sydney. Maroubra Beach stretches for approximately 0.6 miles (1 km) on Maroubra Bay. Many barbecues nearby, very residential area around with very charming houses, in a nutshell, a very pleasant destination is waiting for you.
Less known by tourists but known as one of the best surfing spots: Maroubra Beach where you will see many apprentices rescuers learning. Don't hesitate to take some lessons at the surf school, the waves of Maroubra Beach are worth it.
The beach has many water activities such as surfing, swimming, volleyball, boat trips, and many more. It is highly recommended to swim between the yellow and red flags, as these are the safest and most pleasant areas for a dip in the water. You will also find stone pools on site, ideal to enjoy the water without the imposing waves.
A coastal path allows you to walk along the beach, using the stairs. Along the way, you will find barbecues, toilets, water points, covered picnic areas, everything you need for a great family day out. Along the beach, you will find a multitude of stores, cafรฉs, and restaurants where you can enjoy a magical view of the sea.

Maroubra Beach is very close to Bondi Beach, you can travel from one to the other very quickly. By car, it takes only 10 minutes and Maroubra Beach has a large parking lot nearby. Otherwise, you can take the line 350 buses, which take about 25 minutes.
