Burleigh Heads is one of the few preserved natural areas of the Gold Coast, thanks to the Currumbin Sanctuary National Park. Located at the mouth of the Talledudgera estuary, it is an ancient volcano that forms a rocky promontory offering an excellent view of the coast. The site hosts some of the biggest surfing competitions in the world including the Quicksilver Pro.
