Travel Tips for visiting Brisbane QLD

Brisbane is Australia's third largest city and may seem less vibrant than Sydney and Melbourne.
In some ways, this is true: Queensland's capital is not as cosmopolitan and vibrant as Australia's other two major cities. However, the region offers plenty to do and you'll definitely spend a few days here if you want to travel around.

The first step to visit Brisbane is to get lost in its city center. Urban crossroads, economic hub and main artery of Brisbane, the CBD hosts the main cultural attractions of the city.

Large buildings, shops, museums, monuments, parks and gardens are all part of this modern yet authentic area.
On foot or on a guided tour, discover the CBD for a few hours and see Queensland's oldest church, City Hall (which houses the Brisbane Museum and an auditorium), Anzac Square, Eagle Street Pier and Saint Stephen's Cathedral, among others!
Brisbane's heritage is surprisingly diverse, with a mix of styles that make the city unique.

On the CBD side of Brisbane, and therefore on the other side of South Bank, there is a nice walk along the river.
The City Botanic Gardens are the green lung of Brisbane and for good reason, they cover almost 18 hectares. You can go jogging, biking or lazing around, it's up to you! For a drink during the day or a bite to eat, take a break at the Eagle Street Pier.

A downtown Brisbane playground for young and old, South Bank Parklands is a wonderful place to explore, preferably on a sunny day. It's incredibly popular with locals and tourists alike.

There are several companies in Brisbane that offer cruises on its namesake river. The artificial beach of Streets Beach is not far away: it is here that you can have a good time in the sun, swim and even go up in the Ferris wheel to enjoy a nice view of Brisbane.

So, a piece of advice: from the botanical gardens to the New Farm promenade, let yourself be carried away by the various strolls you can make along the Brisbane river!

Discover also the Story Bridge. It is the emblematic bridge of the city of Brisbane.
You can walk to it from the Fortitude Valley area and admire this great steel structure that leads to Kangaroo Point.
It is also possible to climb or abseil the Story Bridge for a thrill.

Don't hesitate any longer and go and discover Brisbane, you can see a lot of other things.
