Dilidjan is a town in Armenia, located in the Tavush region. The city is known for its preservation of the traditional habitat and for its mineral water. The mountains and the climate are perfect for walking. In the small cobbled streets of the old town, restaurants and craft workshops follow one another; the houses made of light-colored stone have charming wooden terraces and tiled roofs. Nestled in its green setting, Dilidjan offers a radiant face to visitors. You can walk until you reach the beaten tracks and to the famous monasteries of Haghartsin and Goshavank which are located 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) away from the city center. These places of worship are located in sublime settings: lost in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by green hills. It is composed of several buildings and even some ruins of ancient stone arches. Endowed with a very rich natural and cultural heritage, the city of Dilidjan sparkles in the middle of the mountains of the Tavush region and attracts many tourists who come to recharge their batteries. With its spa and rest centers, Dilidjan has an essentially curative vocation. It is also famous for its mineral water and its treatment of forests with pure air.
