Go for a 3 hours hike with the assistance of a ranger ATV through the Fortress backcountry near Calgary!
Wild and beautiful, the backcountry of The Fortress Summit is a magical place that has been used for the filming of many movies: Inception, Jumanji: The Next Level, The Revenant, etc. It is therefore a must to visit it if you are in the area, especially in Calgary!
Thanks to White Mountain Adventures, you can access the backcountry of The Fortress without having to walk far: a ranger's ATV will assist you in your travels, taking you to the different places where you will hike around The Fortress summit. It is an exclusive and unforgettable private guided half-day hike!
From mountain wildflower meadows, pristine lakes and 360 degree views from the Fortress ridge line, you will have a timeless time in the heart of this wilderness not far from Calgary where you may encounter marmots!
Hike of about 3 hours (allow up to 4 hours of activity from pick up to return) of 8-10 km, with a difference in altitude of about 250 m.
Activity requirements
Temperatures in the higher elevations can be colder than those in the town of Banff, so please dress accordingly.
Special terms
Once your reservation is confirmed, you must contact your instructor to determine your pick up location.
If you are not at your pick up location on time, the guide will leave without you and you will not be refunded.
